First Steps

I wanted to share this with you all, my little girl is getting so big and her achievement to walk actually gave me a spiritual illustration that I think that we all can pull something of worth! 1 Peter 2:2 says, Like newborn babes crave sincere milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in your salvation! My little girl is growing because of nature and the process of time, she is learning to walk, even though there will be some bumps on the road she is growing. The reason that she learned to walk is because we worked with her and we encouraged her. Our spiritual life is like that as well, we need to be encouraged and mentored by others and by the word of God. If you are a Christian you have a great responsibility to help others to grow. We need to encourage each other to grow, to get into the word and to exercise our spiritual muscles. Leah's face lights up when we encourage her and cheer her on when she walks, what if we did the same to other believers? When was the last time a good friend or another believer encouraged you in your walk? There is great strength that comes from this simple act of worship! You may fall, you may only walk a few steps but in the end you will be a walking amazing believer. Just take an example from my little Leah!!! Be blessed.
