Falling In Love with Jesus

The book of Acts is a revelation of hearts that were discouraged but now appear encouraged! The hearts of these apostles had a stirring of passion, they left Jesus for a season, more than likely just living their old lives, complacent, licking their wounds from guilt, shame and confusion. Why? They thought the Master was gone, they forgot the word, they forgot the promise! What was the promise? That God would do something in their lives so amazing that the things of this world would grow strangely dim! 

Acts 1: 6-8 Here is where we lose passion, where we lose Gods best, where we lose the power and God kind of life God desires. 

My heart has been where the disciples were, discouraged, uncertain of the next stage in my life, needing something from God that would set my heart ablaze again. However, what I have found is that its not about what I need, its about who HE IS! The disciples asked a question in verse 6, "When will you restore the kingdom of God?" He responds quickly--- "It is not for you to know the times or seasons but more importantly for you to remember the PROMISE!" Gods promise to never leave or forsake, to love you without limits, to fill your life with love, joy, and peace!!! 

Falling in love with Jesus, oh God bring me back to the joy of thy salvation and renew a right spirit within me! Help me remember your promises! When things don't go my way, help me to wait and rest in the upper room! Let me not be so concerned with what you are going to do, but fall in love with the realization of who You are!
