An Engaging God

It is great to get back to sharing with you all! My heart is full of experiences of memories from the birth or our son Gehrig to the passing of my old faithful friend Crash this week.
As I slow down and truly seek Gods word this morning I was led to Matthew 14:22-27, specifically verse 25- And in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
This is a special passage for many aspects of life, however, what I want you to grasp this morning is the fact that Jesus engages us! What gets in the way of our recognition of him? The same things that hindered the disciples from knowing it was Him on the water. ( Fear, distractions, circumstances of life) these things all plague us at times, however, if we slow down enough, listen to His voice it may be that He is speaking to us.
Engage means to move upon, act upon, press in! May we take encouragement and challenge to be like Jesus and engage those around us, it may be that someone needs His word, His hope, His relationaship.
