The Cheek Life: Lord Take Me To The Other Side Please!!!

God is so Good! I have a word from the Word of God that I think will give hope in a time when hope is looked at through the eyes of the economy, the eyes of financial success or what is going on in the world! Can I tell you this morning that the Holy Spirit showed me something that I have never seen before in a word that I have read many times before. Read these verses!

Mark 4:36-41 ^³⁵That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." ^³⁶Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. ^³⁷A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. ^³⁸Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"
^³⁹He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

^⁴⁰He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

^⁴¹They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"

The first aspect of these verses brings great hope for anyone that feels as if God has led them to do something. Jesus states, " Let us go to the other side." Can I tell you that if Jesus asks you to do something or if you are trying to get to the other side of a problem, concern, anxiety, or fear that if He proclaims it He will secure it!! Getting to the other side of sickness, financial hardships, victory over addictions, or victory over sins that destroy will have its share of storms!! What happens next?
During the journey to the other side where Jesus calls the disciples to go, the disciples begin to worry, fear, and complain. Does this sound familiar?? Many times when God leads us, the journey to the place He is leading us is filled with times of doubt and fear. HOWEVER, HE IS ALWAYS IN THE BOAT! Please friend don't lose this truth. Satan will fill our lives with untruth for he is AS a roaring Lion but Jesus is not as a roaring Lion He IS the LION OF JUDAH and will destroy the works of the devil. Just stay in the boat where Jesus is, don't go overboard and try to paddle out of the storm but simply rest in the arms of Christ where He can and will speak to the winds of the storms PEACE BE STILL! I believe that he was speaking to the waves more for the disciples than to the winds becasuse He wants us to have peace and to be still!!!!! Listen to this song through to the end as you meditate on Jesus being in the boat of your life and taking you to the other side where He promises to bring you to safety! God is so Good and it is well with my soul!
