I thought that it may be a good idea to share some of Daddy- Daughter day! I have been looking forward to this all week and I snapped some of these pictures this morning as we prepare to go get the oil changed in the truck and hit some golf balls at the PGA store.
However, this past week Sue and I have had several opportunities to see God at work. The Holy Spirit reminded me this morning in my quiet time with Leah as we read John 9:1-12 of the reason we go through trials and turbulence in our lives. If you are not in a trial of some sort just wait, storms will come eventually and how we see them depends primarily how we overcome them. There is a story here of a blind man that was blind from birth. Many asked the question," What did this mans parents do or what sin does this man have abounding in his life?" I love what Jesus says in verse 3- Neither has this man sinned of his parents BUT THAT THE WORKS OF GOD SHOULD BE MADE MANIFEST IN HIM!!!!!!! I wonder if you got that?? It doesn't matter what the problem is, it only matters that Jesus is working in our lives as we go through them. Why??? So that the testimony and the wonders of God can be made manifest in you. Many times we think that situations come into our lives and that it is about the outcome, my friends it isn't about the outcome for all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are all called according to His purpose. It is about the journey, that is where God works in you. Look at verse 7- Jesus tells the man to go to a pool and he goes to it and the outcome is a healing. What is Jesus leading you to do in your trial?? Is He asking you to go the pool of patience, what about the pool of praise, sometimes it a pool of COMPLETE dependency on Him! Wow this is a good word and the pools in our lives that He asks us to go to sometimes takes time, but if you can get there the result has already been made perfect!
