Well it has happened again, I woke up late and am going to have a long day because I hit the alarm about 10 times this morning :) However, I am pulled to the Word of God this morning because of the truth and the comfort it brings to my heart. Let me ask you this question, " Have you ever been through something that brings emotions of worry, fear, uncertainty or anxiety?" I think that we all could raise our hands to that question. I have come across MANY situations over the last few days that could shake the foundation of my praise or cause me to worry sick over. Not only in my own life but also in the lives of those really close to me. Gods word is really good my friends and it has spoke to me this morning. Isaiah 26:3- Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trust in You!
Perfect peace comes only when we KEEP our minds stayed or fixed on Gods abilities and not our own inabilities. Perfect peace comes when we remain steadfast on Gods promises instead of test results. Perfect peace comes when we wrap our minds around Gods goodness and the blessings in our lives instead of the worlds terrors. Its hard sometimes to resist what the enemy wants to feed our minds to produce fruit of fear, worry, anxiety and uncertainty. However, PERFECT peace comes to the minds of those that trust and hope and praise and pray to the one that can move mountains! I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels or demons or any other thing can separate me from the love of Christ Jesus my Lord. Because He loves us we can live with full assurance that His love will not fail us. Continue today to fix your mind on the goodness and abilities of our Lord, it may be a battle but thanks be to God that gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Try this exercise, I challenged my Wed night class to write down every thing that the word Savior meant to them and as I wrote the responses on the board, peace, faith, hope and assurance wrapped themselves around their hearts and it made a difference in their lives. Write on a sheet of paper what Jesus means to you and post it somewhere where you can be reminded daily when the enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up the standard of Himself and knock that ole devil out!!!
