Many of you know that I am teaching a Bible study on Wed nights and the last 6 weeks have been on Spiritual Warfare! I have learned much concerning the wrestle against the enemy and understanding the whys and the reasons we wrestle. However, I am excited about tonight's study as we get into the Spiritual armor that has been given to defeat the enemy's wiles and tricks. I could not help but share a little that is on my heart for tonight, those of you that are coming to the study will get this twice :) I have attached a song from you tube at the end of this post that I want you to listen to if you can, it goes right along with this devotion! Ephesians 6:14- Stand therefore with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place! TRUTH is such a powerful weapon that God has given us and it is only found through the word of God! John 8:32 says that the truth will set us free!!! HOw do we appropriate truth?? Here is a list of ways:
When you get a questionable doctors report----- My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and noting shall harm me.
When you are bound with strongholds----- Thanks be to God that gives me the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
When the Goliath of fear stands before you--- GOd did not give me the spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind.
When the waves of financial hardships come---- My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches.
When questions flood your heart---- He is the Alpha and Omega.
My friends, the truth of GOds word has to be what holds up the fabric of our lives, if we do not stand and buckle the truth of Gods word around our lives we are open to being raped by satans principalities, powers and rulers. Jesus many times saw situations different, when people appeared to be dead He said they were sleeping. When it looked like there was no food He saw provision, when a life was buried in the rocks of a tomb He called him forth. Good God almighty HIs truth today will set you free if you will take a stand and buckle tightly around your life the Gospel Of God!!!
