An Example from the Rays

Love is not envious! This is where the Lord has me today in my quiet time. I have been learning much about love and what 1 Corinthians 13 describes love as and I must say that it is an area that I have to constantly develop in my own life. Godly love, love that is proactive in its use and constant in action. I thought about Jesus on the cross and how his love was demonstrated towards us that while we were yet sinners He died for us. He didn't envy those that were in a comfortable spot, those that had the luxury of compromising their beliefs and staying on the sideline so to speak. He did not envy those that had the best in the worlds views, money, prestige and things. He simply loved in a way that was patient, kind, and did not envy. I want that, I want to look at my own life and what the Lord has created me to do and fulfill that! Not what others have done or what my flesh desires but what the Lamb Of God designed me to be. I am sitting on the balcony watching the stingrays in the ocean and they seem to be fully content being who God created them to be. They are not envious of the sharks or the other fish, they are content on being stingrays. Wow, I guess I can take an example from the Rays :)
