Deuteronomy 6:7

What a wonderful truth that the Lord has shown me this morning! I have been praying the last few days that the Lord would work in my heart the passion for ministry, a heart for ministering to others and the platform in which to do it. Here was the news flash that I received from the Lord this morning as I prayed..... Deuteronomy 6:7-  ^7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shall talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. I know of people that are forever searching for a ministry opportunity and how to define what their calling is and they neglect the most vital ministry opportunity that the Lord has blessed them with... the home. I have to thank my Sunday School teacher for giving me the push so to speak as we met the other night and the Holy Spirit so impressed on my heart that my heart was not in ministry mode. As I have been praying for the Lord to mold my heart to beat for ministering to others, He gently reminded me that my family needs ministering to, my 9 month old needs to be loved and disciplined from a heart that is seeking the Lord. My wife needs encouragement and love that the word of God can bring to a life that is submitted to Him. I have family members that are in need of counsel and leading through Gods word, and it is easy at times to look at ministry through the example of Jesus speaking to multitudes and doing miracles. However, the time He spent ministering to His disciples in the quiet places made the difference in their lives and hearts. Today my prayer is that we will all see our families as an opportunity to be a King and Priest to and that our heart will grow for ministry, it is a great place to start and to grow. This will lead to the opportunity and the ability to minister to others! Be blessed.
