Issues

As I get ready for a new day I cant help but have such a burden on my heart about the ISSUES in my life. What I mean by issues are the things that keep me from living a life of holiness and to be a sold out committed follower of Jesus Christ! We all have issues, and I was drawn to Luke 8:43-48 where Jesus heals the woman with the issue! This woman had an issue of blood, something that kept her from being clean and this issue had troubled her for 12 years! I love what she did, she pressed through the crowd and in private touched the hem of Jesus garment. NOw what you may miss here is her line in the sand moment where she said enough is enough! This woman had to get to a place in her life where she DESIRED to get close enough to Christ that He would impact her life.
Here is the key for all of us, I know for me that if I dont have the spiritual desire then my desire will be on something else. If we could get to a place where no matter what everyone else is doing and press through the busy schedules and duties in life and touch Jesus garment, the issues in our lives would be dried up! Jesus garment was a symbol of the word of God. You see the men in that time wore robes with tassels on them to remind them of Moses Laws! The only thing that is going to dry up our issues is the word of God! So let the word of God speak, sowing the word of God continually into the issue will cleanse us. I pray that His word will so impact us that we will have our own testimony of our issues dried up! Be blessed today and remember that you are loved, when He was on the cross, you were on His mind!

  1. Convicted once again...and I need to be!
Yes, as long our our sins and issues are not unbearable to us, it seems it is often easier to just let life take over much of the time. I cannot bear thinking about the moments, the days, the years, I have wasted focusing on the wrong people (AT TIMES THIS PERSON WAS "ME"), wrong things, all for the wrong reasons!
Thank you for being so transparent and being obedient to the Holy Spirit. Love you so much.
