1 or 9?
Good to share with you all again! My heart has been encouraged and convicted this morning by the word of God, it is Gods words to us, how He communes with us, how He directs us and how He enriches our lives. I also was brought to remembrance of something from my time with Leah yesterday in the garden as we worked ( well she played, I worked :) I want to share with you what Ive learned!
The words to the song above are words that I sing to Leah frequently in her room at bed time, I want her to know the things of God and have words of encouragement to help her in times of need in her life. So there I was raking the grass out of the garden and I heard a song coming from Leah's lips as she played in the dirt, she sang,"I sing praises to your name, O Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised." I listened to her for about 3-4 minutes until she realized that I was listening to her and she just looked at me and smiled as I had tears running in my eyes. You see when Leah was in her mom's belly, and daily I pray specifically for Leah to be drawn to Jesus! These sweet words that she sang is a clear reminder that God answers prayers!
So in my quiet time this morning I read Luke 17:11-19- the story of the 10 lepers that came to Jesus and asked to be healed. They went away after Jesus spoke to them and were healed as they went. Then only 1 came back and began to glorify Jesus and praise Him! Jesus asks," Were not all 10 healed? Where are the 9?" Does He ask that of me at times? Do I ask, ask, ask, ask, beg and plead with Him to do things for me? Or do I thank Him for what He's done? My little girl is being drawn to Him, O what a praise service I should have continually for this answered prayer! I want to chose today to be less concerned about what He's going to do, and praise Him for all He has done! By the way because of this 1 leper choosing to worship Jesus for what He did for Him, the Bible says Jesus tells the Leper," Arise, go, thy way, thy faith has made thee whole."
Our praise is a symbol of our faith, it may be what unlocks something for you that causes you to rise up, maybe to a new level with Christ, rise to a new obedience, rise to a new passion, rise to a new faith in your walk! Lets chose to sing praises to His name!
