I guess the Lord is not done with me yet when it comes to this word.... Or may be its because there is much more work needed to be done in my own life? As I sat down in Gods word this morning I was led to John 21:3-12.. THis is the account of Jesus mentoring the disciples on fishing practice, however I believe it goes much deeper than that.
Jesus asks the question first, "Have you any fish?" The disciples had been fishing along time and had nothing to show for it. Then Jesus as He does through His Holy Spirit and the Word of God even now led them to cast the net on the other side of the ship. The difference was amazingly different! In life we to cast our nets on the wrong side of what life has to offer, being swarmed by our job, besetting sin, neglect and passionless living for the Lord Jesus. Maybe its time to EVALUATE what we have been doing? Emptiness is waiting for us when we cast to this world, fullness is on the side where Jesus leads!
Lord please help me to cast the net of my effort to the right things, lead me and mentor my heart.
