"Psalm 63:1- O God thou art my God!
The Holy Spirit has been leading me to the Psalms as of late and it has blessed my soul! As I sat before the Lord this morning He showed me a verse that is simple yet speaks volume to a heart that is in need of a miracle or a heart that needs Him even more. The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart this morning," My people lose hope, lose faith, lose joy when they lose perspective of who I am individually in their lives!" WOW what a word, this verse from Psalms came at a time in David's life that was in deep need of His touch, protection and leading. You see he was in the wilderness of Judah, running, scared and afraid. Can I get a witness people?? How may of us go through a wilderness experience of financial hardships, relationship problems, health issues, what about a joyless life that it seems that God is not moving in your life?? Listen to these words friends, GOD YOU ARE MY GOD!!!!!!! Did you get it? The same God that created the world, the same God that parted the Red Sea, the same God that shut the mouths of the Lions, the same God that raised Jesus from the dead is alive and living in you and you alone. WOW! If that doesn't get your Holy Spirit juices flowing nothing will. HE CAN AND WILL DO THE SAME IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU RECOGNIZE HIM FOR WHO HE IS! I hope that this encourages you and that today may be a little different as you say as David, "O God you are my God!"

True! O God you are MY God! He would have died on the cross even if I were the only one. He did what He did and He does what He does because He loves ME! The hands that put the stars in place are also there to wipe away the tears from MY eyes. It reminds me of the Casting Crowns song "Who Am I"
ReplyDeleteWho am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.
Bridge:
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.
Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.
