Gods abilities not our inability!

What a great time in the Lord this morning! This past weekend has gone by to fast ( can I get a witness): Yesterday my beautiful bride woke up in the middle of the night with a stomach virus that knocked her down for the count yesterday. It was heartbreaking to see her sick because this is the first time since I have known her that she was sick to the point of having to just lay down and re cooperate. She is feeling much better now praise God! In my quiet time this morning I did pull a lesson from yesterday, in Ephesians 6:11 Paul says Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. You see my wife could not stand yesterday, whenever she would get up she would start to feel nauseated and would have to lay down again. This is what the enemy would have us do in our spiritual lives, he would have us to lay down. The word stand in the Greek meaning means to abide, appoint, and establish. Lets read it again with those words- Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to abide, appoint, establish your position against the wiles of the devil. You have been appointed as an king and prince of the Lord, you have been appointed as servants of righteousness and have been established as Gods own special people! Putting on the armor of God gives you the abilities to do what you never could have done before. It is Gods abilities that we must focus on not our inabilities. Standing is a position of authority and establishment, today chose to stand, chose to establish your position against the enemy in your life and in the life of your family.
