Oh How I Love Jesus?

Oh how I love Jesus, Oh how I love Jesus, Oh how I love Jesus because He first loved me! Did you notice at the end of the title of this post I placed a question mark?  These words that I learned from a song several years ago when attending vacation Bible school as a youth came to my heart this morning. I thought of the saints of old and how they lived in victory and lived in the move of God continually and I prayed that the Lord would show me the root of this significant life for Christ. How could Noah stand against the world and do what was on his heart to do? How could Joseph when tempted by Potiphars wife say," How can I do this thing and sin against God?" How could David stand before Goliath and win the battle over the giant? How could Jesus go to the cross and rise again? There is only one word that will give the move of God an igniter in your life, the word LOVE. You see all of the people I mentioned had one reoccurring theme in their lives, they simply and without reservation loved God. A scripture that so many times has come to my path and I will share it again is Mark 12:30- Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind, and strength. Do I love Him like this? I desperately want to!
It is so easy to lose focus of this when involved with ministry, daily lives, duties at the job and home. HOwever, if we can continually have the love for God on our hearts, heads, and homes I believe that we would walk in the move of God. It is through love for God that our choices are made pure, our actions lead to kindness and our lips edify others rather than destroying others. My prayer this morning is that the Lord would forgive me for looking at my day as a duty, but that He would burn in my heart to look at this day as an opportunity to fall in love with Jesus more! Oh how I love Jesus because He first loved me!
