In quiet times the Lord will bring you to a place that needs attention in your spiritual makeup so to speak. I have been rolling along with some great time with the Lord and all of a sudden this morning the Lord showed me myself as it pertains to His word in the area of Love. We hear this word all of the time but do we really know that it means? I am not going to go into a world view type of love or even get all theological, instead lets let the word of God speak. 1 Corinthians 13:4- Love is patient
Ok I have dropped the ball on the first attribute or characteristic of love! I can think of no better example than that of the Lord Jesus when on the cross he spoke these words,"Father forgive them for they know not what they do." DO I look at others like this? Do I love my family like this? I am not saying we look for excuses to give everyone a free pass, however, patience to me is waiting on GOd to move and living in a way that believes that He will move. If we could live our lives daily like this! That spouse that is not where they need to be in the Lord- do we pray for them and walk in patience until the Lord changes them, or do we complain, poke, and prod that spouse into our mold of what a spouse should look like? Love is patient! Love in a way today that shows others that you are believing God for a move and in the meantime love like it has already taken place!
