In His Likeness

OK friends get ready! Don't get ahead yet, I want you to read the blog before listening to the song Ive posted. It is incredible but best enjoyed in the light of the word that I am going to share from Romans 6:3-5

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the LIKENESS OF HIS RESURRECTION!

Don't miss this here, especially the capitalized portion, in the likeness of His Resurrection. I meditated on this verse and the Lord brought me to the account of His Resurrection found in the gospels. John tells the account that Peter, Mary and another disciple ran to the tomb and they saw the grave clothes left in the tomb, then Mary saw Jesus and His wounds.
Im going to try and stay glued here because a light went off in my spirit when I received this. If Romans 6 tells us that we shall be in the likeness of His Resurrection we should know what that looked like. Here are three areas we need to see ourselves as Christ and His Resurrection.

1.He left the clothes behind that were full of sins consequences
2.He walked around with scars, with the purpose of having a testimony
3.He never entered the tomb again

WOW what a revelation for you and me, we need to leave behind the things that cause us defeat! Though we have scars because of being flawed humans we can give testimony that where scars are, there must be a healer that healed those areas! We NEVER NEED TO ENTER THE AREAS WHERE WE DIED TO! I'm blessed to have received this, walk in newness of life, free from sins grasp, free from strongholds and old stinking grave clothes and walk in newness of life! WOW. Now listen to this song and get unglued! :)
