A Great Reminder!

In a world that pulls us in so many different directions and a society that has placed a stamp of importance on who we are because of what we do, I found great encouragement in the word of God this morning! As I look at the first verse of all the books that Paul the apostle wrote, they all start with the declaration of who Paul is. He says he is a servant, his identity is not in what work he does or who his employer is, not how much money or how many friends, it is his relationship with Jesus that counts!
Ive been fascinated with the world of twitter lately and I enjoy reading how people publish themselves, their one liners of who they are, what they offer, and what their identity is.
 You see I am a  husband, father, employee of Frito Lay, church goer, lover of sports and the list goes on. However, may it be said of me that I am Gods, simply put and so powerful. In my life I have tried to measure up to the worlds expectations instead of living in the peace and power of being Gods child, having all the rights and inheritance that He gives, He deposited into my account! Many times we try to live in our own strength, what we are chasing will fade away, but we will be Gods child forever if we have placed our faith and life in the hands of Christ! What a great reminder this morning, what joy and peace it brings!
