I woke up this morning to check the score of my beloved Braves, only to find out that they lost :( falling another game behind the Nationals! As I clicked on mlb.com I saw all of the stories about Ichiro Suziki being traded to the New York Yankees, this man has been with the same team for 12 years, beloved by fans and adored in the community. However, it was he that asked for the trade, this got me thinking about the changes that happen in our life.
Ecclesiastes 3:1- To every thing there is a season, a time and purpose under the heaven!
Here is a great encouragement folks, the season that you are in now is only a season, no matter what you are going through it is a season, no matter how normal, boring, difficult, or even great, this is a season! Your trade may be coming, as we ask, seek and knock God promises that a door will be opened! Be not dismayed, God is working on your behalf if you seek Him, if you hold onto Him, if you honor Him! The uniform of discouragement may be traded for the uniform of joy, the uniform of complacency can be traded for the uniform of having a hot heart for Christ! What a blessed hope and encouragement from scripture, the season you are in is not forever, it will change. Look back over your life and see the different seasons, good, bad, long and short, we all have a season to be in! Praise the King for He is Master of them all! Be blessed!
