Stand next to the Cross!

I can't help but think this morning of the wonderful act of the cross that Jesus not only endured but overcame! I have had a lot of time to reflect lately on my own journey with the cross, the time I came face to face with the gospel and gave my life to Christ, June 22, 1986 was a long time ago :) However, we have the blessed opportunity to visit the cross daily in scripture, and in commitment! To die to self and let God resurrect us!
 John 19:25-26 tells the account of John and some others that drew near to the cross! There is a key phrase that I hope will burn into your hearts as you start your Friday and go through the weekend! In verse 26 Jesus says," Woman, behold your son." Some powerful words if we relay them to our heart.....
Jesus calls us to look upon what He did, the depth of His love, the lengths He would go, and the passion for you He displayed! What love the Father has given unto us that He would give us the Lamb of the world to cleanse us and take our place! He is calling each of us to LOOK AT HIIM ON THE CROSS! I have gone days and weeks without visiting the hill called Golgotha! The disciples were a lot like us at times, they took off for a while, not going to the visitation of the miraculous! Today ponder on the day you came to the cross, then bless the Lamb of God! WORTHY IS THE LAMB!!!! It will change your perspective, as you die, Christ in you lives!
