Psalm 119:33

What a great weekend! I had the blessing of spending time with my family! What joy this brings to my heart and edifies my life! This was a special weekend because Leah and I were going fishing on Saturday morning! We talked about it all week and she definitely was not going to let it go :) So Saturday morning her first words were,"Daddy, lets go fishing!" So Mommy packed our lunches and we headed out for a successful day of fishing. Well anyone who knows me, understands that I am not the best of fishermen, however, I do know how to spend time with my little girl! So after a trip to Walmart to get worms and Twilight Sparkle sunglasses for Leah :) we headed to the fishing hole.

This trip was less about fishing but more about teaching! I wanted to teach my little girl about nature, about respecting the lake and getting away from all the hectic worlds pulls and relaxing. She asked me what I was doing when I placed a worm on her fishing pole, I explained to her that the worm will help catch the fish. The words that ring in my heart this morning were the words, "SHOW ME." As I cracked the word of God this morning I was led to Psalm 119:33- Teach me O Lord the way of your word, and I will keep it until the end!

Teach me, Your Word O Lord! Is this something that we say continually? We have to separate ourselves from the world for God to teach us how to live, how to love, how to grow! I know that it has been way to long since I separated from the business of the world to teach my little girl life lessons. She longs for that, do we? Do we long for God to show us His word, to show us His will? He is longing for you to separate and sit at the waters edge and allow Him to speak to you, teach you, grow you, and prepare you for each day! Thank you Leah, for helping me see that being taught is a blessing.
